Fortinet's Solution for Large Enterprises and Service providers, which includes the FortiGate-5000 Series, FortiGate-3000 Series, and FortiGate-1000A Series multi-threat security systems, delivers best-of-breed, network-based blended threat protection. FortiGate-5000 Series
The FortiGate-5000 systems are a family of chassis based modular systems that provide the highest scalability for multi-threat security.

Three chassis are available, a FortiGate-5020 (2 slot), FortiGate-5050 (5 slot) and the FortiGate-5140 (14 slot). The family also consists of variuos security modules; a FortiGate-5001 multi-threat security processing module, a FortiGate 5001FA2 multi-threat security processing module with FortiAccel wirespeed firewall performance, a FortiGate-5005FA2 multi-threat security module with higher content inspection and wirespeed firewall performance, a FortiController-5208 load balancer module, and a FortiSwitch-5003 Switch fabric module.

All members of the FortiGate-5000 family can contain multiple FortiGate-5001 modules but the FortiController-5208 and FortiSwitch-5003 can only be used in the FortiGate-5050 and FortiGate-5140 chassis.
